Foundations

Foundations are used with a Murphy Bed for the same reasons that they are used with a conventional mattress. The foundation adds support to the mattress and prevents you or your guests from "feeling" the crossbars. Additionally, it enables air to flow to the underside of the mattress, allowing it to "breathe."

Our foundation is now made of three pieces providing the same results as a one piece, but it also allows for easier shipping and handling. As the do-it-yourselfer, our newer three-piece version further aids in the ease of assembly by lessening the weight of the individual sections. They are slate board construction with two layers of fiberboard all wrapped in an anti-skid black fabric to provide an aesthetically pleasing finish while providing superior mattress performance. Finally our foundations are custom-made to fit our frame both securely and safely, while providing long-term support for your mattress. RETURN POLICY: All returned items must be returned within 7 days of receipt in original cartons. Buyer must return items with prepaid shipping. All items are subject to a reduction in credit by a 10% restocking fee, shipping fees, plus any repacking charges to previously opened items.
